Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
Aniko and her boss Genzo were available free long ago, but like the rest of Have's figures, are no longer...

I never knew Aniko had a Genzo ! I didn't collect that figure...
Spoken like a true freebie hoarder.
But seriously, I'm re-visitng old content because I feel I need to squeeze more renders ot of them. takes more effort to fit clothes and pose them correctly. I am a Retro Content User, I suppose.

Little miffed that I don't have Aniko... I think I have every single anime figure there is in the Poserverse otherwise (in a dedicated Runtime. Of course A3 has her own Runtime, too). funny thing is that except for Miyazaki-san, Rintaro, and Shunya Yamashita I'm not that crazy about the Anime design aesthetic. Just got the Japanese Poser art bug I guess.
In addition to Eroke, Aniko, Genzo and the Goblin, he also had Tuyuko, who came with some clothing (incl. the obligatory ropes) and extra morphs. Genzo was a somewhat older male character. Given that he could drop his pants, some might say he was a DOM, but I prefer active mature gentleman. Eroko (and perhaps Genzo as well) was unusual in having her face as a separate part. She and the other females also had some of the most detailed and functional intimate feminine accoutrements. Too bad Have's things are NLA.

Hmmm, says on one of the pages that Eroko is a masochist.

I think the ability to drop ones pants would probably be as equally useful to a SUB, but I digress from such a thread digression...
(anyone one remember those old battery op frankenstein toys that when you activated it Franky's pants would fall down around his knees and his face would light up red? anyway.)
Heh, if you want, Aniko and Oni can still be had. You have to go back in internet time of course. Yay for the wonders of internet science! Hehehehe....
URL if you need...

Btw, the "Free Stuff 1" link at the top of Haves' web page the link sends you to should get you to the Eroko Ver1.1 download. I'd put the link here but the download page has a nude of Eroko.
Edit for spelling. m(_ _)m
My brain is just a toy box filled with weird things
mylemonblue, you are the man/woman! Just DL'd Ariko! Think that just about covers the obscure Ha-ve figures for my collection... Thank you very much for finding that, although it's funny because I was on that page earlier but failed to scroll down past the Oni. very excited in a totally dorky kinda way!
Just beware that Have used sometimes Japanese limb names etc., which non-Japanese Poser had diffikulties to handle. For me the figures at the time caused problems with Poser 7 'hanging'.
This may be solved in present Poser versions or new OS systems.
Eroko's size and rigging resembled Victoria2's enough to make clothing items fit for poses not too far away from neutral.
I so recognize the felling and the fun. There is so much good stuff on the old trunks! It is fairly low-poly compared with today's standards, and if necesary Snarley's Subdivider is a great help. Then use EZSkin to add SSS, and you will not beleve your eyes. Reality/Lux too provide subdivision and a new lore to old stuff.
I used the V4 MFD on my opening post render, with a little adjustment here and there in terms of posing fit. Did not conform the dress, but instead, applied the same Universal Pose to MFD as I did to Aniko figure. Works.
update: I think the Oni is an upgraded Genzo figure - just guessing, but the face looks similar, judging from WayBackMachine webpages.

If you poke around the Wayback machine one can find Toukyo, whioo was the sucessor to Eroko.
Someone had a script to correct Japanese figures' bodypart names for non-Japanese versions of Poser, but i don't recall who.
One thing to note, though is that Have seemed quite annoyed to discover that these figures were stil available when they were discussed over at the old DAZ forum. I told him how to exclude them from access via the Wayback machine, but they are still available...

"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."It was Cage who wrote the Fix Script. His Freebie page is down due to problems with the Poser Place server, but is in the Wayback Machine. It requires a standalone Python installation...

I wonder why? I mean they're pretty nicely made, perhaps it's the "adult" nature of the figures (some of the morph names on aniko are pretty funny).
There's a long discussion about Have's old figures on the Daz forum archive...

I like anime, I'm not sure I like it as a 3d figure though. Doesn't translate mediums too well. Still, I use A4 from time to time.

Do you have the link to that figure? I can't find it. Thanks!

Um, wrong lifestyle.
"Eh? This Genzo was a Doctor of Oriental Medicine??"
Lads, lads must I spell out the dreaded incantation - crossing my fingers behind my back - Dirty Old Man. Yes, the women have had their revenge. Try to be a venerable gentleman interested in the education and welfare of youth and you're a DOM. Do it as a woman and you're a "Cougar" - ooh, cool, trendy. OK, it didn't work out too well for Demi.
A lot of these figures could take on a new look today, Maya Doll, Pu, Lina, Kururu … I don't make the rounds of the Japanese sites as often as I used to, and I may be wrong, but it seems that there seem to be fewer of those fun, unique figures being made today.

"I want Genzo. He reminds me of Mr Burns from the Simpsons."
Chuckle. Yeah, if you slimmed Genzo's pot belly down, he does have a bit of old Monty in him. I'll take Aniko over the creepily devoted Smthers any day though :-)

And if you have Oni or Goblin, you should take a look at the props of the figure to switch on the "mara", the tongue and the additional horns.
Also, in those old days, IMO itweas in 2005, Have offered some additional morphs for the private parts of Aniko, really unbelievable morphs. He delievered them as Objects, but scaled in different ways so if you looked at them, they looked like anything else but not like hips.

"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!"
I made it past the subscription hurdle of PoserClub. (with Google Chrome!) I must say I like Ayame.
Nice detail is that her teeth and inner mouth load as a separate prop, so you can esaily delete those if she keeps het mouth closed and save polygons. With about 20K polies she is not a big consumer.
She has a limited set of morphs.
She looks good and personal 'out of the box'. She comes with a hair prop. Bending is not great, in particular in the hip area at large angles, but she can do nicely for standing poses.
I have a section in my Runtimes where she will find a place.
My Japanese is somewhat rusty, so from this place: Z3D, thank you.
Thanks, MyLemonBlue for the WayBack link for the Oni.
Using just the head and neck upon an otherwise "normal" suited figure, and applying a Larry Fine hairstyle with a white texture, he would make a rather manga accurate Chief Aramaki from "Ghost in the Shell". Shirow always drew him as a freaky lil' gremlin of a fellow.
Sincerely,
Bill

Sorry to bump the thread, i do have Japanese languaje installed on my computer so i can see Japanese sites, i can read Japanese a little, Hiragana/Katakana and some Kanji, so... here are some screenshots so you can see what is going on...
Windows can see the Japanese characters, but Poser cant, and the folder is empty ._.
