Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:11 pm)
Quote - Dear friend
I'm looking for other users of Lali's Bits
I make the assumption that i use Poser Pro 2012 on Win 7 64bit.
there is a big problem that plagues Lali its first release in February 2012.
It all works properly until you use LALI alone.
You can close the scenes to reload it and everything works fine. The problem is when you add a new character.
Until you close the scene everything is working correctly. When you reload the scene Lali does not work anymore, I tried everything but there's no way, now the scene is corrupt.
I contacted the manufacturer, but there is no solution or at least I did not get useful answers.
Honestly, the product is very expensive and I was one of the first to buy it.
Has anyone found a solution?
I think it is the best product on the market, but since it is NOT free it MUST work.
I await aid.
Thank you.
Just make sure that the figure with lalibits is loaded first. If you load any other figure first, there will be crosstalk.
To see this - Load M4 first, spread the legs (side-side), then load the figure with lalibits and you will see the crosstalk
When you load a scene Poser the same thing is happening - reason is that the lalibits figure is treated as a piece of conforming cloth - which it is clearly not. It might be fixable in the CR2 if the figure name is changed to include a number so the crosstalk breaks.
P10 has a fix for this
I purchased Lali's Bits at Rendero**** (ahem...). IMHO it's the best genital pack I've tested... and I'm official betatester at... welll, THAT other site and I've tested lots of them
I don't know if I can help you. My system is WXP 32b and Poser8 SR3

you might try loading the bits alone in a scene then resaving them with a different name to the library. that should 'break' any superconforming in the cr2. then use that copy, which shouldn't cause crosstalk anymore. (assuming it's superconforming causing the problem).
lost in the wilderness
Poser 13, Poser11, Win7Pro 64, now with 24GB ram
ooh! i guess i can add my new render(only) machine! Win11, I7, RTX 3060 12GB

Just do the experiment I mentioned - load M4, load v4 with lalibits, spread M4s legs
I had the problem months ago when testing P10 and I thought it was a P10 problem and reported it. It turned out to be a problem with how autoconforming was setup. In P10 it now includes a check on whether the figure is actually a conformed item. And that fixes it in that version. Breaking auto conforming/crosstalk by adding a figure number should fix it as well.
Or you could load V4 first
Load V4 first or after not solve the problem.
Yes, i have made your experiment wimvdb, M4 creates problems to Lali, moving M4 hips and legs modify the hips and legs of Lali.
jancory, saving Lali and reloading her does not solve the problem.
I'm working with Erogenesis to see where is the trouble.

Quote - Is there going to be a problem using the Bits in PP2014, since the non-weightmapped V4 is currently broken?
http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?78956-Big-issue-with-V4-in-PP2014
I have Pro 2014, though I had made a V4 figure with Lali's Bits and Xameva & Meipe"s Perfect V4 fixes injected in, that I had created in Pro 2012. And so far all seems good it loads in will check to see if the dials actually do anything. :)
You know you enjoy 3D Art when you realize that your life is a piece of 3D Art. :)
AMD 7900X3D, 64 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 Ram, Asus Prime X670-P Wifi MB, PNY RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB, 14TB SSD's & HDD, Windows 11, Poser 9 / Pro 2012 / Pro 2014, Daz Studio 4.22.
I'm still fighting with Lali and the problem of crosstalking with M4
I reinstalled from zero poser pro 2012, the runtime etc. using Erogenesis instructions
There is nothing to do, every time I insert M4 in a scene, I close and reopen it lali falls apart.
The problem occurs with using clothes and hair conformable.
But Lali works perfectly to all of you on Poser Pro 2012 sr3.1 creating a scene with M4?
thanks

There is supposedly an update that fixes this issue, according to his blog. I haven't yet gotten it myself; busy with RL stuff. Drop him an email with your order number and perhaps he'll send it to you...

I don't wont to buy PP2014... no money
Quote - Eregenesis has an updated version which might fix it in PP2012. At least for some people it worked.
We are working hard on this problem, no solution for now...
Quote - You can also load the V4 figure with lalibits first, that will also prevent the problem from occurring. At least that was the case for me
First loading Lali causes cross-talking on my scene, i need to load first M4

Quote - Has anyone tried using this product with Posette instead of Victoria?
It's a correction morph system that happens to include a genital prop, so I don't think there would be much advantage to adapting it to Posette. You would be better off going to Free Stuff here, and sorting by "Most Wanted" and a couple of examples of equipped Posettes will appear on the first page...

Thanks for that - no point on buying a potentially problematical product for a figure I would rather not use anyway. :)
We have given up hope of Lali operate properly due to the cross-talking with M4
our last hope is the customer support of Smith Micro ....
It would seem that I am the only user of Lali still plagued by this problem.
If anyone had problems with cross-talking with M4 and managed to solve it, please contact me.

OK, so it seems like I'm having the same problem, but with only one figure and her hair. I have never used V4, because of the unnatural bending, but I finally gave it a shot. I started with V4, added the morphs++ and saved. Injected Lorena character and saved. So far so good.
I read the weight map tip in the blog, so I made myself a V4WM, and saved, then opened V4, deleted the bones above the hip and copied the remaining joints to the V4WM. Still looking to be on track...
Now came time to add Lali's, so (after resaving my V4WMhalf++ uncompressed) I ran the script on my prepared figure and injected the bits. Spun a few dials, and they seemed to work... I saved my figure and began working on the body morphs to make a custom character. I added Alanis hair and saved my figure. I bring my figure back in and get a "NO_MAP" error, which I can't find an explanation of or for, so I ignore it and move on. At this point Lali's isn't working either and my figure bends horribly...
Are my figures now broken, or is this just crosstalk with the hair? Will deleting the hair make them work again? How do I get rid of No_Map? How does anyone else make this work? Can the bits even be removed at this point? I'd hate to give up on V4 just as I was seeing her potential.
And my gawd does she bend horribly... This is the figure everyone uses?
Reinstalled PP 2012 from cd (not from cd copy on local HD) now works all fine...
May be something corrupted on installation file on HD, but never had information from installation procedure....
lost 2 months.....
