Need a little help please. I'm looking for female characters

with full pubic hair. Seems most like 99% of the textues are

bald on that part. VK did a great texture. I'll be buying that

one. Real fond of dark hair. Anny help would be great. Thanks!

BTW, do you know why it's short and curly?

Because if it was long and straight it'd poke you in the eyes.  :)

Quarker, the Japanese artist who created Sapphire Fox Hair and Babydoll hair has some transmapped plane pubes props as freebies on his blog page... they are fit to TY2, Miki, and A3 but can be fit to V4 and others with some adjusting.

For Strand based there's christiandarkin's merkin props over at Renderotica, which are pretty good if a little overpriced (just do a 'by artist' search at Renderotica).

I have a .psd layered merchant resource purchased here years ago called Private Parts V4 by an artist named fyrene... Unfortunately the product no longer seems to be available. Useful to have if you like to create your own texture designs. Along these same lines, DrTaj at Renderotica has a MR called DrTaj's Intimate which is also a layered .psd but includes some nice photoshop brushes, recommended.

Probably most will advise that you use strand based hair for greater realism, but I've found that strand based is a little resource heavy for pubic hair and, unless you do some customizing and create it yourself with a lot of tweaking, tends to look a little too sparse for close cropped hair or bushy and standing straight out from the flesh for longer hair. Probably more suited for the 1970's porn look. Transmapped planes with some morphs work pretty nicely in combination with custom transparency maps (enter the MR and brushes) if you generate a template for the plane(s)... The hair has the illusion of some volume, particulary if the plane has some morphs, but also appears to lay closer and flow along the surface of the skin if done properly. Of course a combination of techniques works, too. Depends how obsessive you are about details, custom creation, and the kind of look you are trying to achieve.

This thread reminded me that I'd seen it before, and I was just looking at that thread before you posted it.

I used his setting to create a pubic prop for Miki 4 and it works perfectly.

Hello friends! For the creation of pubic hair I prefer to use dynamic hair. They are applied very easily and are very flexible.

I prepared a model example. I usually use three layers of hair together. The first layer called "Pubic_Ground" contains the shortest hair. The second layer called "Pubic_Main" contains a hair of medium length. The third layer called "Pubic_Center" has the longest hair.

Length and density of hair is determined by the value of the parameters "Kink Strength", "Kink Scale" and "Verts per hair".

For material of hair I use 50% transparency. The resulting effect depends greatly on the scene lighting. In this case, I used a simple raytracing.

Especially, I used a huge pubic hair ;o)
