Subject: Who keeps moving my bones...?

No, I'm not a hound who has forgotten where he has buried his treats...

I'm needing some help from those who understand rigging and bones in Poser. I'm in the process of creating a conforming piece of clothing for V4 that has extra elements attached - so I decided to create some extra bones and map these to those elements.

That's all well and good. No problems there and no difficulty in playing with the joint editor to get things working how I want them.

Only when I save the figure and come back to open it later some of the bones have moved in a pretty random sort of way. This is not good - am I missing something here?

Why do you need this: for still or animations? For stills it is not a real problem. A real problem for animation though.

It's only for stills. You say it won't be a problem but surely if the bones move then the joints are also affected somehow?

Sorry I can't be of assistance but I have to say I heartily approve of your avatar pic.

What are the bones parented to?

Did you look at the cr2 and make sure the child/parent relationships were correct?

Are the groups that you created listed in the cr2?

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

Rokket - thanks. Following your suggestion I think I've traced the problem through and think it arose from not saving the work in progress properly.

SamTherapy - thanks. A couple of models that I made a number of years ago. They have been known to invade my runtime evey now and then...

Very nice work.

There are several of my Daleks here in Freestuff if you'd care to avail yourself of 'em.
