Subject: Content library in poser pro 2012 not showing up in linux?

ash365 ( ) posted Fri, 07 June 2013 at 12:03 AM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 8:10 AM

I can get poser pro 2012 working in ubuntu maverick 10.10 (I'm not willing to upgrade my system at the moment, and I have no access to other computers. Poser will not work in a virtual machine either.), but the content library won't work. I'm fairly certain the problem is either with flash or air, and It's been suggested to me that flash is probably the main problem.

The flash and air installer both seem to work correctly under wine, but I have no other programs to test if they are working. Also poser 7 works perfectly fine, though I don't know if that's any help...

This is a screenshot of what I get:

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated :)

I saw on a forum the suggestion to set the Library launch behavior to External (via preferences) as it can sometimes fix a flash issue

Update to above, I got a request to update my AIR copy after testing this so I guess in the external setting Poser is using AIR (or at least AIR + flash).

I tried setting the library to external, and after that the library dissapeared altogether.... Not sure what this means really, I don't mess with flash or air very often for anything besides watching videos.
