I'm using Paris II 65 hair in PP 2014...

I've applied the main obj. in Hair

Went to Poses - found Texture - made sure Paris was showing as selected... and no matter what I do... can't get that texture to apply.

Help?

I usually don't have these problems. I've used Poser before, Daz Studio all the time. Is there something else I should be selecting to make this hair apply?

If I'm supposed to do it in Materials room - I'm lost and I definitely need HELP!

In the material folder is a "Sampler-PlainNormal" and "Sampler-Mapping". Use one of these poses, then apply your texture and you should be able to see it in preview.

You also will see the texture after you have rendered the image.

Thanks I tried that too, still didn't work. I just changed the hair, the one I'm using now works. I'll go back to the Paris hair later and work it out at another time.

Cheers!

Unless the hair is parented, you will not be able to apply MATPose textures to it.  However, if there is a color texture present in the Materials category of the Library, you can apply it in the Mat Room.

Thanks... but I've moved on for now... but I will try it again down the road. I found a hair that works fine, textures pops on, no probs...

cheers

I had a similar problem when I went from 7 to Poser Pro 2012 with one of my FK hairs.  It rendered OK, but the preview doesn't work and sometimes it's just mesh.  I would try to apply the color and style you want and then do a test render.  It usually works.  Pain to pose, but it still renders!

Select the hair, and change the Element Style to Textured preview. It's probably on something like shaded or wireframe. I have Paris hair and I've never had a day's problem with it, and I use it quite often.

I've never had problems with it before, this was the first time. I don't know what I did wrong. It's really one of my favorites. Sooo - I'll give it another go later on.

🆒
