Subject: I stopped getting ebots and sitemails yesterday...

LaurieA ( ) posted Fri, 14 June 2013 at 7:17 AM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 5:21 PM

thru no fault of my own...is there a site problem? I really need those ebots since I don't tend to visit all the forums I'm subscribed to every day...

Thanks.

Laurie

Got ebots from the Poser forum by unsubscribing and resubscribing again. Not doing that for every single forum I'm subscribed to. There's a lot of em and it'd take me all morning.

Tell the code monkeys to stop throwing poo, eat their bananas and get on with the fixing. LOL.

I haven't had any mail today either other than the Daily Digest

Hello!

I get notifications with 20mn 45mn delay for several days.

SidheRoseGraphics ( ) posted Sun, 16 June 2013 at 12:38 AM

There has been delays since the 'maintenance' with receiving e-bots and mail-bots, much like caty77 says above. Also, I have a Friend Request that I cannot approve. I have tried 5 times now and it just doesn't work.

Every time something gets fixed, something else gets broken. Do these people know what they're doing?

Hello RR,

the problem persists. For example

1

but I receive notification at 5:07pm (10:07am for France)

2

This is really not ideal for follow what happens. We must continuously watch the general gallery.

Hello everyone,

Not much to report at this point only that the programmers are investigating the issue.

I will stay on it and as soon as I have a answer for you I will be back in touch.

Just wanted you to all know it is being looked into.

The ebot issue for me turned out to be something causing Rendo to be black listed and therefore everything from them was going to my spam folder. Check your spam folders and if you see Rendo ebots, simply tell your browser/email server that they are not spam and that should take care of it...or not. Who knows around here anymore. Good luck

My mail-bots aren't going to the spam folder. They're just slow in coming, but they're faster than the site-ebots. Sometimes the mail-bots are slower than other times.

adorety ( ) posted Tue, 18 June 2013 at 8:01 PM

Interesting Ray. I've never checked out a delay, but that does not surprise me. If I could upload an image I'd time it with comments made compared to what I receive.

The newest but is that despite having the proper file dimensions and size, the upload process has told me that the file is NOT the right size. There is already a thread started for this one.

I'm glad we are enjoying this adventure in the new and improved website. New challenges everyday for everyone. Like I"m sure IT here wants this. Time for some new blood in the tech department it seems.

adorety ( ) posted Tue, 18 June 2013 at 8:49 PM

I was finally able to post an image and as usual my writing is so long that I finish it in the comment section. This time the notification of a comment came within a few minutes. Maybe things are picking up? (Crosses fingers)

LaurieA ( ) posted Wed, 19 June 2013 at 6:12 AM

My ebots weren't going to my spam folder either. Was the first thing I check when I don't get something I'm supposed to get. I've been using computers for a LOOOONG time. LOL

I just wasn't getting any ebots. I do get ebots now from the forums that I unsubscribed and resubscribed to, but nothing from the others where I haven't unsubbed and resubbed yet. It COULD be that that there's no posts to get from some of these forums, but I can't believe all of them.

Now, not only is there the issue with the bots and the friend requests, but pages are back to taking forever to load, pages timing out and navigation around the site being a general p.i.t.a. It has been especially slow over the weekend. You may be happy with your programmers but the rest of us aren't!

LaurieA ( ) posted Sun, 23 June 2013 at 1:39 PM · edited Sun, 23 June 2013 at 1:43 PM

The site has been SO slow the last two days that I'm not sure I can stand it anymore. For example for this page to load (from the email link) it took 45 seconds. That's too painful to navigate and I can only stand it for so long.

FWIW, the site has been slow for me every since you applied the "improvements". I'm getting tired of this, really.

I'm not trying to be mean, really I'm not, but ya got vendors that are depending on you guys to live up to your half of their profits, and instead the site is a slow, boggy mess.

So much for crossing fingers. Agreed, the site is slower than ever. It is really not tolerable.

Hello! RR is really slow since Saturday: pages are difficults to see.

In addition, I always get my emails very well (they are in time). But on RR, notifications are always offset (Friday yet there there were only 5 minutes late).

41mn for notification!!!

LaurieA ( ) posted Mon, 24 June 2013 at 9:34 PM

Rendo has been really horribly slow lately...enough to make me stay off of it for most of the day yesterday (and I normally hang out here quite a bit). At least today - for me anyway - the site is fast enough that I guess I should take it as a gift cause that'll change again. LOL

We did find several batch jobs that were "hung" and these have been cleared.  It seems that this has helped our speed for many.

We will be keeping a close eye on these for the future.

Thank you Tina!

For the moment, the navigation seems back to normal. And notifications are again at the time.

Fatal error: MySQL error: Too many connections in /rn1/renderosity/builds/production_1372171075/classes/class.bw_Database.php on line 312

I'm getting these....again.

Please, please, PLEASE! For the love of all that's holy - clean up your databases, get rid of the extraneous junk and/or fire your coders and start over. The site is now again loading for me at a snail's pace. I really can't deal with it anymore. I'm begging you.

they don't always goto your spam folder btw. if a site is marked as a spammer (or a Grey Site) then an ISP can elect to use a spam/grey list to kill the emails before reaching the user at all... remember, some billions of spams are sent every minute... the majority are killed by your ISP automatically.
