Is this along the lines. He was at the NH Highland Games, and didn't pose for this at all. I think he was a reinactor, standing watch. (I'd love to be able to get rid of the people on the botom, but don't know photoshop well enough yet to do somthing that complicated. -Gabe-

I'd like it if the framing of the guy was tighter.

Great Pic, Gabe - that look on his face! Sorta "Watcha doin' tekkin a foto of mee, Laddie?" Brilliant! Getting rid of those peeps is quite easy, and you can use one of two methods - the first is to grab a time machine, go back there, politely ask them to move and take the picture. The second (slighlty easier) is to use the 'clone' tool (looks like a rubber stamp) - Move the cursor into the bushes just above the person you want to 'eliminate', and click while holding down the ALT key. Move the cursor over the person and move it around on them while holding down the mouse button. The area you selected gets copied over the top of them... Hope this is of some use! Mike (",)

I do like the pose, the details are really good. I particularly like the staff ending at the face, the pipe, the bonnet shading. Everyone would like to have taken this shot. I would only clone out the guy by the left leg. You might blur the others a bit with a new layer. Bill

I second Jordi's suggestion for cloning out the trees. Additionally i offer a suggestion. If you have a second picture of such trees and schrubw without the people you can do a better job of cloaning the trees. Also try varying the location of your cloning and softening section after you have finished a little. This will make your results apprear less repetitive and less sharp. Bsteph

...like Jordy said, this is pretty easy. Ok, this was a fast one, but what I did, I cloned those green forest parts to over those folx. Took about 2 minutes. To get realistic look, is first just clone, then break patterns, to fade similar places using rubber stamp tool with ~50 opacity. And, always, use different layers to clone for. I use rubber stamp really much, its one of the most commonly used tool of my photoshop. If you want to know something, just ask. .n

We see him much better though which was what I thought was the intent. If the intent is the strangeness of him standing there. Then a few of the people can stay. I still would maybe nix the tent if I could. It's unnescessary. A fair amount of work though. Bsteph
