Subject: True 60fps

I have a client. He has an adult video that also uses a toy plugin to computer. he wants 60fps so if the user slows his movements, the animation slows also without becoming chopy. How do I get a true 60fps? Does straight to QT or using image sequence make a difference? I use Adobe AE to assemble the image squence. Do I leave it at the frame rate, or manually change it to 60fps, or just go straight to QT file from Poser? Thanks.

You get media players that add frames in. Look at Splash Player. You can watch a 24fps movie at over 60 fps by dialling up the motion2 slider in the player. It uses your GPU card to draw in the frames. Thats just an alternative solution, but might save you time on skipping out the conversion process. They have a version you can download and test. http://mirillis.com/en/products/splash.html There is a watch motion2 demo clip on the right of the site so you can see it in action.

For true 60 frames per second you actually need 60 different images per second.

How you can do that in Poser I don't know when you only got a 30 frame timeline. Can it be streched to 60 ?

If you type a new number where the 30 is, you will change the frame count to whatever you just typed in.

In the key frame editor, there is a value set to 30, that can be set to 60, but that doesn't seem to work. I tried doing 30 frames, then added 30 frames, and retimed the animation, but not sure if this worked. Won't know until client plugs it into their system to see if it is true 60 fps.

I like the professional answers in this thread with no questions (so far) about the context of the op... :)

slomoVideo is an open source program that slows video down, I don't know if it is what you may be after, but it maybe an option. It's Windows and Linux, but can run on Mac osX via WINE.

The demo videos showing the slow-mo effect in use are pretty cool.

Thanks, but I'm not looking for software to slow the animation down, I'm looking to create a QT file at True 60fp from Poser or frome image sequence from Poser. That's all.

Okay first you'll need 60 frames or more of animation. Then you'll need to go to the Make Movie menu option. A dialog will appear. Set the FRAME RATE to 60.  There you go. Now your animation should play back at that speed.

Note that you can use fewer than 60 frames with this option but it will be less than a second long of animation.

I'll try that, but I need to create image files first. As I need the final in QT. Any suggestions? Thanks.

In the Make Movie dialog window where it says Format, click on the Arrow next to the word FLASH. This will give you a list of options including Image Files.

When in doubt refer to the user's manual.
