THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: bryce 7 and vlc player

i am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.

 vlc player has a problem with bryce 7 avi renders, i think i recall it happening in 6 also. it looks like a b/w slanted split screen moving image.

it is more common than not. when the clip is player through media player it is fine.

am i missing a codec for vlc?

thanx in advance

you could, if you haven't already, update VLC..I've not done Bryce anims so I can't say if it is reproduceable but VLC works fine for me for any and everything else I'v run thru it

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

The Bryster gave me some great advice for Animating

Make the Animation and open it with windows movie maker if you use windows or pinnacle I think was the other for windows. iMovie Should support it if you like me own a mac.

Good Luck

I loved VLC and had used it for many years but every once in a while I would come up with a non-play issue. I jumped onto another free media player (another one that is like VLC, you do not need to install any extra codecs at all), it is called "Daum PotPlayer"...I know, weird name but I have left VLC behind now for almost twu years now and just could not be happier!

It is an Asian made program and if you try it out, you might want to get it from where I get it, which makes sure the programs UI is all in english.

Here;
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PotPlayer

Here are the direct download links from that webpage;

32-bit version;
http://www.videohelp.com/download/PotPlayer1.5.38562.EXE

64-bit version;
http://www.videohelp.com/download/PotPlayer1.5.38562-x64.EXE

I've used that page to download and this program for almost 2 years now and I LOVE this media player! I don't use anything else anymore for video, period.

It's totally free and has no ads or nags, so It's worth a download and a try.

I still keep VLC installed...just in case. I 've ran across a rare few .flv video files that Pot Player didn't like also there was a trunacted .avi one time, but VLC saved the day with those. (actually either will play a partial .avi, if one just happens to not digest it I use the other program).
