Subject: I'm back......

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 19 September 2001 at 6:16 PM · edited Wed, 08 January 2025 at 1:53 PM

Just in case any of y'all noticed I was "missing", I'm back now. I had a family problem which I needed to tend to, which meant I had to drive up north to Pennsylvania for a few days, and I just got back. Now I'm in the process of regrouping and figuring out what I missed, and hoping I didn't screw anything up by not being here. I hope all the Vue Contest winners have been taken care of. Congrats to Agiel for winning the VC! And thank you MUCH to Varian, for much work above and beyond the call of duty. This past weekend, Florida was under water, suffering major storms, minor flooding and a handful of tornadoes, from that tropical storm or whatever it was, that was over us, and as a result, I had no electricity when it was time to leave and wasn't able to send a message at the time. I missed you guys! Now I will try to get caught back up wth it all.... Cheers! Mike

Welcome back Mike, it's been so quiet here, LOL, glad to see your type. Sharen

:) Actually, it was Wind Gap, Pa., which is in what they call "The Slate Belt", near Bethlehem and Allentown. Wind Gap gets it's name from a major gap between two (Appalacian) mountains, which was supposedly caused by wind erosion. Other than that, it's just a two-horse town that used to be only one-horse. ;)

I agree with Beck, you have to stay here now, at least a few months - lol, what? me worry? -- glad you're back, Mike. :)

I was just curious. I have a cabin in the mountains near Grove City. I like those little towns--the people are very nice.

As a french guy, I want to say to you and your parents that I'm happy to see that, in these bad days, there are families unbroken. So...
