Subject: Troubleshooting - Libraries window in Poser Pro 2012

FrozenStar ( ) posted Thu, 18 July 2013 at 11:15 AM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 7:13 PM

Hi. My Poser has started acting up today and I'm not sure what the problem is. I was rendering promos earlier this morning and it worked fine. Closed for 2h, took to Photoshop to work on a new project then restarted Poser but my Libraries window was nowhere to be found. I checked under Window and Libraries was checked. I tried the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+B but it's not bringing it up. I will see it load up and quickly vanish upon computer & Poser restart. The only workaround I have found currently is to have my Library preferences set to Embedded, but even so I can only see it, but not browse through any of it or scroll down.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? I know a reinstall may help solve my problem, but I'd only use it as a last resort, since I have a really big library of installed filled I really don't want to lose.

Before you reinstall, try changing your preferences to factory and see if it there.  You may have to build your UI again, but you would have to do that if you reloaded.  After you get it the way you want, set a UI dot so you can go back if you move something off the screen.

Saibababa.. with "all my Poser applications" do you then mean your runtimes? Because, yes, you can move those around as you please. And just point Poser to their new location. If you mean the program itself.. not likely. ealier versions didn't require installation per se (I've run Poser 4 off an USB stick just for the fun of it) but later versions need entries in the reg. database.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
