Hi,

I just found one of my old Poser figures, but when trying to render it in Poser 10, texture mapping don't work right, I get triangles and squares all over the model. Anybody know what the problem is, and how to fix it?

Looks like it's two sided or has backfacing polys. Try checking the "normals forward" checkbox on all the main material nodes and see if it helps.

I'm guessing that it's two sided.

Thanks a lot, that helped! But it seems that this setting must be done separately for every part of the figure?

Sorry, I missed the last part :-)

You must do it for every material zone.

I've seen this in models which were made for P4;  back then, Firefly ignored normals, and a lot of models were made with no attention given to the normals.  But with the release of P5, lots of models showed that checkerboard-like effect because then Firefly perceived normal orientation.

Thanks to you both for very fast and helpful information!

I discovered some years back that some of my models had this problem, but not important at that time.

And, I started with Poser4, so thanks a lot for the explanation :-)
