Hi all, I thought people might like to see this develop, it is now close to being ready and should start with my beta test team either this weekend or early next week.  Here's a link to the development thread, I'll put product promo renders in this thread when I get that far.  There will be saddles provided, one for the adult male and one for the adult female, so you can render your Tavrohk used as a cavalry animal.

I've today been working on the final stages of this project in Poser; MAT poses for the saddle.  The image attached to this post shows the default saddle texture and bump map.

This one is more closely matched to the colour of the Tav'rohk's skin.

This is the cavalry saddle colours; the dark red version is intended for the lower ranks, there's one with deep blue instead of the red for officers, and a purple one for the royal cavalry or some other purpose decided by the user.  Not all colours available have been shown here.

A cavalry charge; there are two poses to position Mike 4 in the saddle, one in this pose and another in an "at ease" riding pose.  I'll do the same for Victoria 4 and maybe a few other figures.  There are also a reasonable selection of poses for the Tavrohk itself; a few walking poses, full charge poses, a "dead" pose, "warning' poses, rearing up, leaping etc.  Yes leaping, you read that right...

That's a scary thought, it can jump!

The first DAZ Studio render I've posted anywhere; it took a while to get the materials right but they now look as good as the Poser version.

Here's the DAZ Studio render with the updated texture set; I have also used one of the MAT poses to change the Tavrohk's eye colour to blue (the default is brown).

OK, wow, this product has been a lot of trouble!  My beta testers found lots of problems and it took a long time to solve one of them.  The saddle had so many problems that it will be delayed and released as a separate product, because otherwise the Tavrohk won't be released until a few more weeks have gone by.  I can't afford to wait, need the money...

That said, I am very pleased as one of the main objectives was reached; I am ale to load an entire herd into Poser using this beast and it takes very little RAM.  I've tested using up to thirty Tavrohk figures loaded at once and still I had enough memory to load more.

The attached promo image is not finished but it gives a rough idea of how the main promo will look when it's done.

At last the image for Promo 1 seems nearly done; just a posisble retexture of the outfit V4 is wearing, and maybe toning down her hair a little.  I like redheads, but maybe that hair's a bit brighter than it ought ot be...
