I ok I just had my second ever moment of enlightment with carrara's interface. 1) moment one was after a week of reading manuals and cussing I found that I had to drag out the trays on the edges. The manuals kept telling me to use the trays but I could never find them. After a week I was going to uninstall carrara when in a fit of frustration I accidently clicked on the sequence tray instead of the task bar. 2) moment two was today. For the last year I always hated the fact that when I clicked on the navigation arrows and moved over the scene to navigate I often would have to go back and click on the arrows AGAIN to make them stay highlighted. This was so annoying b/c I always ended up having to ctr-Z my object back to its orginal position b/c I hadnt noticed the cursor wasnt in movement mode. Today I finally saw why that happened. You dont have to move the cursor to the scene window to move your view. You just click on the arrows you want and hold down the button and move it!! I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT!!!!! I bet if I look hard enough there is a "make cool models" button somewhere I cant find :)

I'm sure that we have all had moments like that....even the best of us.

You know, maybe there is a 'become intelligent' button somewhere, but we're too dumb to find it ! ;)

Try the knob on your monitor labeled "brightness". Yours might work, but mine didn't do me no good. Jim Z. a.k.a. Julian Boolean

I don't know about the Cool Models button, but the Intelligence button is right next to the Any key on your keyboard.
