An official version of Marvelous Designer 3 has finally been released. Functional Extensions wrt. MD2 are multi-pinned patterns, and some trivial stuff like a sort of library. No quads still. Texture management is easier than in MD2.  

Some good functionality that was in MD2 (3-D sewing) is removed.  

Starting rates are USD 200.- for existing users (until October 14th); USD 400.- for new users for 'perpetual' license. There are also monthly and annual subscribtion plans.

I've spent some time with a previous version, but it didn't work for poser due to tri polyes. does the 3 offer quad now?

I think I'll be sticking with MD2, I can't see that ver.3 adds anything I really need.
