Subject: Tutorial on creating Morph targets in C8 pro

They confound me and the help files are useless.  I've looked around and can't find a good step-by-step tutorial on how to create morph targets in C8 pro.  Help?

As far as I know, the procedure hasn't changed. I don't know about 8.5, though, as I hadn't tried it.

If you are trying to add a morphs to a rigged poser-intended figure, though, then it might be the case that there is no way to do it. What I founf is that the rigged poser content needs to have a pre-defined morph area, to which you would be able to add new morphs, before a morph target can be created. If the content didn't come with morph areas, there is no way to create a new morph area and add a target to it.

However, if you have something like V4, or any content item that already has morohing areas, then you can navigate to the morph area of interest (say, in V4 -> "head"), create a morph target there, then navigate to the area again from the menu of existing morphing areas and you will see your newly created target there. You can now select and edit it to create a new morph.

Does this help?

actually i'm trying to add morphs to V4 clothing... I.e. a movement morph that isn't already a morph.

Depends if it has morphs. If it does it is simple enough. If it doesn't it's a bit more involved. Mil4 is fairly easy to work with, I did one for the M4 beard last night. But it was a lot of playing around for me because I haven't done it for a while.

There are many tutorials out there for doing this that explane it far better then I ever could just google carrara morph target, or check the carraracafe  CarraraCafe | Show, discuss and learn about Carrara 3D

On the other hand Genesis and items that have gone through the autofit are a PITA, or a nut I haven't cracked yet. I know 3DAGE could expalne it so even I could understand, but he seems to be MIA, and I am worried about him.
