The first makes better use of the leaded glass window as they are supposed to cast rainbows into the actual house not the porch, so I'd say the first is better/more real life. Both are nice but prefer the first.

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

I like the 1st set more, but I would like to see both for variety.

cedarwolf ( ) posted Wed, 28 August 2013 at 2:17 PM

I like both, but #2 is my favorite.  The buyer could always stagger them like in some housing additions.

I have to go with Bobbystar on this one as well as Bionic Rooster. This version is more realistic for two reasons. The Leaded Glass Windows location and the as Jeff told me this version looks more like the homes I see around my home town.

I also shoot for realism, and I do not recall seeing a front porch on a small town home with this eye brow type of roof. I am sure there is one out there somewhere, but I have not seen one yet.

The second roof was just an experiment, so sorry if I got anyones hopes up for no good reason.

Hope you still like this version.

This home will still have three siding zones I just have the same .jpg applied to all three in this test render.

There will be a bunch of material options like set 16.

Also Paulo Ciccone told me the other day that he likes the fact that I am building the mundane for the Poser Market. That was not an insult, as not everyone drives a Fancy car or Lives in a mansion. So I took it as a compliment. :-)

basicwiz ( ) posted Thu, 29 August 2013 at 7:36 AM

It WAS a compliment. At least, I'd take it that way!

patslash ( ) posted Thu, 29 August 2013 at 2:47 PM

I prefer the second one too, very very nice :)

You still amaze me.  These are individual pieces of art. (imho)

I bought the city blocks set and I'm amazed.  Sometimes it surprises me what is in the windows, ie. plants on the sill etc.

Some day I will have them all.  Muhahaha.

Until then, get busy and make more.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Finished another building today. Just needs a name and maybe a sign or two.

Just a few more to buildings and this set will be going into Poser.

Took a break today just to do a little render for fun.

"The past meets the future"

With the right background, you can get some cool results.

Low settings as it was just for fun.

Looking great as always.

Just a thought that I had while browsing this thread.  we have downtown, residential (nice family size homes) and now transition blocks.

Do you have any plans to do some school blocks?

Improvement means change. Change need not mean improvement.

I use Poser 12.0.757, 11.3 and or 2014, on Win10 64bit.

Thanks guys. :-)

I like the idea of doing a school block. Will put it on my list.

Could be a few blocks down the road so no promises, okay?

Exported into Poser today and did a first material test render.

Hope you like what I have so far.

Hi Guys,

I am finishing up the materials for this set and boy are there a lot of them.

So far I have the following for the two sets of track homes. The materials work on both sets so it will not be hard to use at all.

There are three siding zones along with the foundation and they are mapped in a way that you can have brick run from the ground up to the roof seamlessly. or you can have one material on the foundation, one on the first floor one on the second floor and one on the gable ends. There are 9 different gable decorative moldings as well as one to hide the decoration.

9 Chimney materials

21 Roof colors so far

26 wall materials so far

7 Home schemes and most likely a bunch more presets for the entire home, Roof to foundation in one click

Hope to release this thing early this week.

Here is another look at the homes showing the B style A and B that is.

Tom

Thanks Estherau,

Makes it all worth the effort, when I get comments like yours. :-)

Started another product but it is not a city block. It is however on a huge scale like my 81 city blocks.

Will post when I have something worth looking at.
