Hear hear! When we upload stuff to the MP we specify which character and everything... but.. wel I'd love the same (what's new) - only for Dawn... but it's all lumped together.. at least as far as I can tell...

Funny, I just filled out the market place survey just so I could complain about the same thing.

I've found the only way to do it is by narrowing each type. For instance, you have to narrow by Character > Female first before the V4 option shows up. Same thing with Clothing > Female > Model (or textures) > Fantasy/Casual/Etc > V4. Then once you're in whichever sub-section, now do the Filter > What's New.

It's really a pain in the ass.

That doesn't help if I just want to browse what's new for vicky, or dawn or who ever. And some of the departments don't go as far as the model. I'd rather not wade through all of vicky's stuff (nice as it is) looking for something for mike.

I just said that's the only method I've found.. never said it was a good one. lol

I'm all for putting the figures themselves into a top level category also. Maybe something like Figures > choose one > filter what's new.

Me too! I hate the way things are set up in the store. I'm most interested in Merchant Resource skin textures. It's very hard to located them in the store.

For Aiko 3 here are a couple of searches I did. I went to Marketplace/Marketplace search and put A3 in there and Aiko 3

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/search.php?adv_search=&criteria=A3&dept=&type=B

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/search.php?adv_search=&criteria=Aiko+3&dept=&type=P

I know the departments as they are now do not work for everyone, and this is something I will bring up for discussion with the team.

For Merchant Resources for Skin textures, you would go to 2D/And or Merchant Resources to start.

I miss the old headings and categories. , ere a hundred pages for V4 but at least you knew where to look.

My personal choice would be

program, male/female/other (for props etc), figure, department etc

Also there seems to be items that are incorrectly catagorized. I'm sure this is due to the changes made over the years. Perhaps a button could be added to each page that sends a message to both rendo and the vendor says "X product seems to be miss catagorized" and then a decision can be made to correct that problem if needed.

Good idea with a "report wrong category" button :) Sometimes (mostly, I guess) it may be either an honest mistake or something that hasn't carried over completely from older store. But sometimes vendors deliberately put their stuff in the wrong category just to have it pop up in other searches... At least it always pops up a lot of V4 things when I search for M4 stuff...

My supervisor advised me that management is following this thread. Give your suggestions now while you have the ear of tptb.

TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Sun, 22 September 2013 at 10:22 AM

First and foremost: The option to search "per character".
One that'll take me to everything for Dawn. Or for M4. Or for any other character, without lumping irrelevant stuff in. When I'm looking for new clothes for Dawn, I have no need for lingerie for V4. And vice versa.

Also a search for scenes, if that's what you're looking for :)

It doesnt' even need to be the "what's New" - as long as it's sorted with the newest first  :)

A quick interrogative if I might. Let's say I wanted to start selling my native Poser Clothing for Roxie. Roxie doesn't have her own category. What category would I put her in and how many items have to be on sale for her to get her own category? Or is there some other criterion that determines that?

I only ask because you say management is listening, and if and when I do become a vendor, obviously visibility and findability for my wares are going to be a concern. And of the three stores that I would consider being a vendor at; RDNA, CP and Renderosity, Renderosity actually ranks below CP in that regard... for me, at least. I mean, if I'm having trouble finding stuff as a customer, that's sure to affect my decision as a vendor.

Like I said though, just asking.

when searching for M4 stuff, used to be cluttered with hair cuz there was a M4 hair fit.  conforming v4 hair with a morph fit for M4 doesn't make it conforming for M4.
is there a way to make search results for m4 conforming hair?  it used to be daunting.

i enjoy the related items near the bottom of product pages and will lead me to click.

i never click on sponsered items, i scroll passed as fast as possible. as a marketing gimmick doesn't work for me.

links to the required items of add-ons would be much appreciated.

360 views would be kewl 😄  do we have the technology?

thanks for listening! -cheers

Allow us to choose a character before a genre of something. I want to see all of V4s clothing, not just fantasy or just scifi.

You may have to read this twice- the DAZ store does it better (!)

You can browse clothing/hair  categories by genre BUT you can also a a tick box filter for figure type. I appreciate that for a database the size of the MP a 'simple' change is no where near as simple as it looks

Please do not use this an an excuse to start a DAZ/Renderosity Poser/DAZ Studio flame war. TIA

I had just done a search for products for Antonia, and only got three hits; I know there aren't many, but are there really only three?

I have one extra complaint/request. Idon't know if anyone is still following this thread, but one thing that bugs the heck out of me  is to accidenatlly buy a texture for a clothing model I don't have. Is there some way you could put a quick notifier  in the name of the product like maybe a (T) to let people know thi is just a texture for a product and not the product itself? Yeah, i know I should read everything through, but sometimes if you're impulse buying because that looks "cool" you don't think oabout that kind of stuff until you unzip it on your own computer. ?Then you have to follow Rendo's rules about getting your money back because you bought something you didin't really want.

Just sayin'...

Glitterati3D ( ) posted Thu, 03 October 2013 at 10:33 AM

Hey, at least it's not Roxie you're looking for.....she doesn't even appear in the figures list at all.

You want something for Roxie in the store?  Choose Figures>Other, cause there ain't no Roxie.

We just have to get use to it.  Rendo is becoming the Dawn store, all Dawn, all the time.

But, hey, works for me.  First time in MONTHS I didn't make Rendo Rewards!  I'm saving a fortune.

Well, based on the non response I've gotten to this request, eclark, Roxie isn't gonna get a category of her own.  Not until Smith Micro does something similar to Hivewire and "promotes" her and Rex.

Yeah, I believe you're right. Although it would have been nice to at least hear an answer from somebody here at Rendo. Guess they really weren't following this thread after all.
