Subject: Photoshop file ext

Some how I lost my file ext. in Photoshop 5, can anyone help me get them back. JEPG,PSD, and PNG all look the same without the file ext.

You mean Photoshop 5 or CS5? An what system are you running.? Makes a difference on how to fix the problem on how to fix it without any information. Try Adobe forum or Google:)

I am assuming you mean when you attempt to open an image that you just see a thumbnail or icon with no mention of the file extension. You probably have selected Tile in the View Menu, you need to select either one of the top 4 options or the Details option (see pic)

hey philly, look in your preferences (Photoshop ->>Preferences ->>File Handling) for the drop-down menu choice. Select ALWAYS...

of course this only fixes the "going-forward" files not the existing ones :(
