If you want to get back into Poser you might want to update a little.
There's a world of difference between Poser 6 and Poser 8 and you can do it cheap.
The inteface is like the new versions and it has more toys to play with.
For this price you can hardly go wrong.
It's even the boxed set, not a download!

1366x768 is a pretty low resolution for Poser. You may want to get an affordable 1920x1080 monitor (at 21.5 inch they should be around € 100), that'll give you dual monitor capabilities and a very nice Poser workspace
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter

I just installed poser 6 with the sp3 after years of doing other things. So I thought I would give it a new go. But I am not seeing the memory (UI) dots. I have it checked to be shown but it isn't there. How can I get it?
