Will Poser 9 work with 512 mb ram?

Not according to Smith Micro.

Even if it did, you would find it a nightmare of lags and crashes to try and use.

Probably wouldn't even start then eh?

That would be my advice.

more in detail: you need room for the OS, background processes and other apps running. Then Poser will take another 300Mb, and rendering will take: 300Mb for the scene + 200Mb extra if the scene is quite detailed and very textured, plus 300Mb per (undressed) figure plus 200Mb per detailed / well textured clothing set. The "rendering  part" should not exceed 3Gb on a (boosted) 32bit system and/or on Poser 9 which is 32bit itself. So the Poser and the memory you need depends on your scenes.

512Mb will swap the OS to disk, load Poser, and will render just Android Andy in an empty scene. That's about it, though.

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.

visit www.aRtBeeWeb.nl (works) or Missing Manuals (tutorials & reviews) - both need an update though

The smallest I tested it on was a 10" netbook, 1024x600screen,  single core, and 1GB RAM.
Stable but slow.

512? Is below min spec.
