What is the best way to make my own realistic clothing for my Poser character? I don't want to be using Photoshop to create such things. Thanks.

You'll need a lot more than Photoshop for this. First you'll need a good 3D app and a lot of patience to make the clothing mesh (there are tutorials around to show you how to do this). Then you'll need a way to make a UV Map for the mesh (UV Mapper in the free stuff is good for this). After you've made the map, you'll need Photoshop (or something similar, like Photopaint by Corel) to make a texture from the map for your clothing article. Oh, did I mention that you'll need to cut the mesh to correspond to the various body parts and then set up the joint parameters, etc.... Jim

There's a link to a free version of Amapi, in the Amapi forum. Another good free modeller is OpenFX...www.openfx.org. Renderosity has lots of tutes on making your own clothing. Oh, another free one...www.anim8or..maybe it is anim8....com. You might want to start off by making morphs for existing Poser stuff. To me, that is the easiest way to begin learning modelling.
