Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 17 1:08 pm)
I'd like to try that method on a long robe with arms made for M3 and put it on M4. Your example is extremely simple, no arms or legs to deal with and form fitting. WW or XD would handle that fine. Where I have problems when converting is that i tend to lose the movement handles on robes and skirts. Would your method work on those and follow the figure to non-standing poses?

No, this method, (as I explained) only works one group up and one group down, and only on conventionally rigged figures..
Parent to the abdomen, it follows all bends, twists, and side-side of :
Can be used on "T" shirts and alike that have no sleeves.
The short that is parented to the hip follows:
Can be used for shorts and mini skirts.

I have fallen entirely in love with the weight maps for the magnets. Really, with the entire morph brush, too. Just a few extra minutes can get just the right fit and avoid all the pokethrough, and it's both really relaxing to do (with a tablet and stylus, it really is kind of like painting!) and immensely fullfilling, imo.

...It's a pun.
Quote - Body handles are always lost in a convertion.
Replace them by magnets.
And in PP2014 you can "paint" the fall off zones.
That's pretty much as I thought. I've been putting off learning magnets but I think it's time to dive in.
Thanks

Steps to reproduce:
Download the free clothing.
Import the Top and the Bottom Object files.
Scale to fit to this extra Lo Poly figure.
I Used Morph brushes, Tighten and Smooth to Adapt/Fit to the morphed Poser4 Lo Res female.
Rebuild materials. (I imported the object files and not the pp2)
Select Bottom, Smart Prop it to the hip. (select the inherit bends option)
Select Top, Smart Prop it to the abdomen. (select the inherit bends option)
Smart Propped clothing follows all bends from the parented group, one group up, and one group down.
Instant clothing, no rigging required.
Thanks Joanna for this free item.
Just to show the usability of the newer morph brushes.
