Subject: Loading Partial Pose (i.e just the upper or lower body, arms, legs etc)

jarm ( ) posted Fri, 08 November 2013 at 3:20 AM · edited Sat, 02 November 2024 at 3:07 AM

Delurking to ask this.  I am looking for  a way to do this easily without editing the poses manually and creating copies.  is there a way to do it natively inside poser or via a script/plugin?

Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction.

best wishes

Jody

One way is to lock everything that you don't want to move, then unlock again. [Ockham](http://ockhamsbungalow.com/Python/) has a script that will help with that, to save you going to every body part in turn.

(I'm sure there was a script that would apply a pose selectively, but I can't recall it now and would quite like to know where it is myself. ;)

Edit: found it! Cage's Partial Pose Application should do it. His download page is offline at the moment, but you can get it from the Wayback Machine.

alas that script doesn't seem to work with Pro2014, but the locking tip will probably be the answer and I cannot believe I haven't thought of that....doh!

Off to try it now :-)  thank you

Shaderworks library manager 2, right clicking on a pose allows partial poses from any pose.
