Subject: Clothing Pokethrough Questions.for a beginner

Im not a very experienced Poser user so I've been googleing a lot about how to fix clothing pokethrough issues for animations. I seem to be able to fix the issue for a frame, but it doesnt look right later on. I'm not using dynamic clothing, im just trying to conform to a v4 figure that Ive applied a few morphs to.

One of the tutorials I read talked about using magnets. Anothe tutorial I read talked about morphing the piece of clothing or body part. My question is what do you experienced poser users recomend is best for animation purposes?

I just need a nudge in the right direction and I know I can figure it out!

Depends on the poke through and the animation. Can you post a screenshot?

Depending on the type of clothing it is, you could turn off visibility on the body part that's causing issues. It's the first option in the properties tab - which is in the parameters dialogue box.

Or you could use magnets. V4 has several magnets for clothing under the Pose folder, but they aren't labeled to discern which magnets they are so you'll have to experiment. They're just called 'magnetize clothing01 - 10, (or however many there are, don't recall at the moment). I've never really found them to be very useful but I'm sure some do.

You can also create your own magnets on the clothing in the problem areas.

You can use the morph brush in the animation frames that are causing the poke-through and set them back to zero on the frames that don't look right with the morph dialed to 1.

As Phil said, visual aid helps with sorting out the issue.

The multiple magnet sets for V4 are specific to the number of V4 figures incorporated into the scene.  If, for example, 2 V4's are placed in a scene and clothed with conforming clothing, Vicky 1's clothing would require magnet set 1 to be applied and Vicky 2's clothing would require magnet set 2 to be applied.

generally i just use a transmap to make non exsposed body parts invisable or reduce the size of the body part showing if possible

Don't forget the Morphing Tool.  It may or may not be helpful in an animation, but you can fix poke through so quickly with it in most cases that I'm sure it would be a viable solution for some animations.
