Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 25 12:38 pm)
The last one I know of is for service release 3, that was on 20th November:-
Great Uncle LROG
Who honors those we love for the very life we live?, Who sends monsters to kill us?, and at the same time sings that we will never die., Who teaches us whats real?, and how to laugh at lies?, Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend?, Who chains us?, and Who holds the key that can set us free... It's You!, You have all the weapons you need., Now Fight!
If you use the Smith Micro Download Manager you can get the updated content now. HOWEVER, it will overwrite Rex and Roxie 1.0, and head morphsand FBM are not compatible between them(the new ones include eyelash geometry), so if you have morphed Rex and Roxie, either copy your current Poser Content Runtime into a one folder, ot unstall the curerent Poser Nures installer into a new folder and add them to the Runrime Library when you need 1.0; I wouldn't routinely keep it in the LIbrary as it puts obsolete content in your Library; Poser will grab the first file it happens across if there are multiple content files with the same name.
Since there are still some issues with the eyelash materials(at least), I'd hope there will be an update to the update before it appears on the website

The Wisdom of bagginsbill:
"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."Rex and Roxie 1.1 are in the latest PP 2014 download, but you have to redownload everything and reinstall PP2014 in order to get them. Just installing the content files won't work. In fact if you only install the content files then Rex and Roxie won't work at all because their new OBZ files will be missing. The new .cr2 files (technically .crz files) will overwrite the old ones, and the new ones will be looking for Roxie1.1.obz, which you can only get by reinstalling PP2014.
I don't know if this is the same with P10 but I'd assume it probably is.
I also don't get why there wasn't a separate content updater that just installs the 1.1 figures, but maybe there's a reason for that.
So far the only thing that appears to be different in Rex and Roxie 1.1 is transmapped lashes and faceroom support. Everything else looks and functions the same as before.
So maybe a content updater is in the works that includes more features. I guess we just have to wait and see.

Was there supposed to be a content update this month for Poser Pro 2014? Cheers
