From what I understand, if you downloaded the first release it would fix the demo version. Other than that, I haven't heard of anything else! ;)

LOL! Fix the demo... LOL. Thats a good one. I can't find the list of bug fixes anywhere.

CL says it fixes issues. They don't elaborate.

I read somewhere that it fixes issues not addresses in SR2. In other words....shrug

kjlintner ( ) posted Tue, 25 September 2001 at 8:20 AM

I wish someone would come up with a SR for my typing issues. =)

Jackson ( ) posted Tue, 25 September 2001 at 3:32 PM

Did you mean "issues not addressed in SR2?" If so, we now know what issues it fixes.

kjlintner ( ) posted Tue, 25 September 2001 at 3:39 PM

Yes thats what I meant, hence the crack about my poor typing. =)

Jackson ( ) posted Tue, 25 September 2001 at 4:11 PM

That's what I thought (it could have been "issues, not addresses, in SR2"). There have been patches that fixed addresses. It is now clear that this patch fixes issues. Thank you! :)

Spike ( ) posted Tue, 25 September 2001 at 4:59 PM

Ah!, Very clear now....................NOT! Why won't they tell us what it fixed?

heyas; they wouldnt tell me, either, spike. and it doesnt say it fixes issues NOT addressed in sr2. it SAYS it fixes bugs in the pro pack AND the previous sr's. soooooo, um, it fixes the fixes. oh, and it doesnt fix max, i think i heard that for sure.

Jackson ( ) posted Tue, 25 September 2001 at 6:36 PM

Bloodsong-- Not to split hairs, but here's a direct quote from the SR3 pdf file: "Pro Pack Service Release 3 contains several fixes for known issues found in the original Pro Pack release and/or Pro Pack Service Releases 1 and 2." I believe I read the same line on CL's site. This quote explains why CL didn't elaborate on the issues SR3 fixes: they are known issues. Hence, we already know what they are.

bloodsong ( ) posted Wed, 26 September 2001 at 11:45 AM

okay, good. we know what they are. so. what are they? did they fix the custom characters that didn't work before? like most of the ones from 3d-cc? that's the one i know about, and the one i worry most about.

Spike ( ) posted Wed, 26 September 2001 at 12:29 PM

Or did they fix the bone prob where new bones would not show up in the list?

Jackson ( ) posted Wed, 26 September 2001 at 7:33 PM

Hell, I don't know what the issues are! All I know is CL says they are known. However, they are not known to me. I thought I was the only one who didn't know. Apparantly, it is unknown to Curious Labs that their known issues are not known to many of their users. But I don't know for sure.

bloodsong ( ) posted Thu, 27 September 2001 at 3:54 PM

LOL!!! i suppose if there is a list of what sr1 and sr2 fixed, that would apply to sr3.

Petunia ( ) posted Fri, 28 September 2001 at 3:49 PM

So, why don't we all just go over there and beg for an outline of the fixes SR3 should have fixed? Or, we could send someone over to break thier Legos (sic) if they don't come up with one.
