ok the other day I updated pp2012 with the new sr.....now everytime I save a piece it throws up an error about saving the PMD.

I have set on my preference not to save as compressed file. UNCHECKED the external bianary morph targets.

Its seriously tweeking me.

this error has only been showing up since I installed the update.

I've been using external binary morphs for several years now, and have never had a problem with it... I believe I started using them with Poser 9. Check that box and see what happens.

If that doesn't solve your problems, get back to us.

Did you recheck General Preferences after installation?  I did read a thread mentioning that the saving to external binary morph feature became reset after updating with a prior SR.  The current SR is 3.2.  Sounds like SM may have unintentionally broke it.

yup I had to as even though I checked "back up preferences" it reset EVERYTHING >.<!

so I went through, re-added my runtimes, went to preferences and redid everything there.

Oh, backup preferences is not what you want.  You should have selected "Keep present preferences".  Backup will do just that, store your old preferences in a generated file and reset everything else.  There were some threads outlining how to restore your old preferences if the new ones did not work out for you.  They are somewhat dated and I can't remember their titles ATM.

Guh it just did it again. it says there is an issue with saving the PMD(I clicked ok before I copied the exact message)but it states not enough memory then tells me to save my work before its lost...I then hit save again and it goes through fine. I have reopened the file to insure it actually opens and it does..so I dont get what posers issue is>.<!

it only started after I did the latest Service release.
