Hello,

I have just upgraded from Poser 2010 to 2014

I want start to use Genesis.

I have loaded the DSON and and genesis essentials, seems OK, I can load a basic genesis figure, so far so good.

Now I want to load Genesis young teen Justin but I am not sure where to unzip it to.

I am used to an external runtime and just extracting to a blank runtime there.

I attach 2 screen shots

The first shows where I put the basis genesis, under directory documents.

The second shows young teen justin, the content consisting of runtime, people, light presents and data folders. There is also a manifest.dsx file.

My question is where exactly do I unzipp the young teen justin file to?

Any relevant step by step tutorial appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The Runtime folder should merge with the Runtime in the folder you want to use, the Data with the Data folder and so on - they all go directly in the folder you added to the Poser library pane. Make sure you isntall both the core package (the one with the Data folder) and the PoserCF package.

Install Genesis characters into whatever directory you installed the Starter Essentials to...

many thanks for your prompt and helpful replies

I merged Justin young teen data, people and runtime into the original starter essentials folder. However as can be seen from the screenshot Justin does not appear in the figures of Poser 2014. I have also checked the poses etc but no sign of Justin.

Oh, what do I do with the manifest.dxs file

Awaiting your advise, thanks

The maifest.dsx files are used by the DAZ Install Manager - if you don't use that you can delete them.
