Subject: Accidently bought MacIntosh Version

Got the Mac version of Poser 10 (CD) by accident.  Sent an email to support, to see if they can send me the download link for Windows.  Will this work?  I already registered the Poser 10, so it's in their system.

Odd, the CD should have both PC & MAC versions.  I have CD's of both PP2012 & PP2014 which contain the 2 versions.

Yes, I have Poser 10 and there are 2 DVDs in the box, one for Windows and one for Mac.

My boxed PP2014 Upgrade seems to only have Macintosh installer DVDs in it, certainly...

...which suited me okay, since I have a mac ;-) I presume I must have picked that option at checkout...

Both MAC & PC versions are on the same disc for PP2014 upgrade.  Look at the fine print on the backside of the cover.

There should be both a Mac and Win DVD in the Poser 10 package. Out of curiosity, did you buy the product off eBay or through another source? As long as the version you bought isn't bottlegged, Customer Support will be able to sort you out.

Okay - to confirm, I checked my PP2014 Upgrade disks by inserting them (there were two in the box) and even though both of them have "Installer DVD for Macintosh" printed on them, one of them has the Windows installers on it... and actually has the Windows 8 compatible logo on it as opposed to the Mac logos.

jy76tn, did you try inserting both disks (if you got both disks)?

Maybe it is just the text is wrong on one of them, as seems to be the case with mine...

I ordered mine via the link on the Smith Micro Poser site, by the way... got it the week after launch ;-)

Yeah, I heard somewhere that in some copies of PP2014 the windows DVD is mislabelled as Mac.
