See? I TOLD you you were a photographer! LOL! This is an absolutely well-deserved honor. I know you feel like you are only recording your travels, but your photographs are always beautifully done, superbly composed, and fascinating to see. I've seen people's vacation pictures, and your work is so far above and beyond the standard that it isn't even in the same conversation.
Congratulations, my friend! I'm so glad to see your work acknowledged in this way!

Wow, I am overwhelmed. This truly is an unexpected honor. I came back from Berlin late Thursday, the 2nd of January, and saw Carins message. I looked, but didn't see anything. I was exhausted from the flight, two short flights of about 11/2 hrs each (Berlin-Heathrow) and (LAX - Phoenix) and a non-stopper of 15:20 hrs on British Airways from Heathrow to LAX.
I meant to look again and thank Carin and the moderators, but totally forgot about it with trying to get back into my regular sleeping pattern, paying all the bills, getting back into a workout routine, and all the other things that need to get done. Until this morning, when I read Tara's comment on my last upload and I thought to myself 'What is she talking about?'
So I got curious and found this unexpected honor. Thanks again and despite what Tara is saying, my pictures are 'spur of the moment' shots, with a little post work. I have tried taking fancy pictures before, but it never worked out. Just when I got that butterfly focused, it took off, or the wind moved the blade of grass out of focus - frustrating!
Anyway, thanks for the recognition,
Sig...
