Is there anyone here that can custom make faces for V4. I am trying to have some one I know face made (or morphed) for a V4 character. I have some pictures to help. Please some one help or lead me to the right person.

I have done this sort of work for people in the past, and the results are a mixed bag. That is why I don't do it any more.

If you take a look at the "celebrity" morphs here in the marketplace, you will see that it is possible to get about 90% of the way to a real likeness. Most of the failure to go the last mile is not in the morphs, but in the textures. Short of doing a texture build from studio lit nude photos, you have to settle for a texture that is "close enough" to the person you are attempting to model.

I'm not saying you won't find someone who can do it for you... There are a great many very tallented Poser artists here in the forum. I'm just telling you to be ready to pay handsomely for the huge investment in time they will have to make, and accept the 90% results as a success.

I think another problem is that some people that have the talent are very careful about the motive behind the work.  I am not suggesting for a minute there is anything wrong here and I perfectly understand the desire to have a digital version of the member of the family or a friend.  I am aslo aware of the hurt this could cause someone if the resulting character was used inappropriately.

Again I stress I am not making any accusations against the OP, just highlighting to anyone looking to have the work done that they might be asked some searching questions before someone agress to do the work.

The OP's "some pictures" raises my eyebrows.

Attt: I had an unfortunate encounter with a stalker before.

Purpose taken pictures and a handwritten and signed document are the only way to go.

And a Skype eye-to-eye session with the person to be build.

Even then, stay on your toes!!!!!!!

Viilters is correct, these requests come up often and are met with quite a bit of skepticism and suspicion.  There individuals willing, especially for money, but fear legal hassles if proper documentations and permissions are not present.  

If the OP intends to proceed, then written permissions should be obtained first.  Next, ordinary photos are not the best source to duplicate facial features.  Common camera lenses can distort to a degree.  In addition, facial expressions can influence the final outcome of base features.  Better to have a professional photographer take frontal and profile shots for starting reference point.  

However, Basicwiz is correct, the last 10% of reproduction is highly dependent on matching textures.

You know, guys... I'm thinking it is a good idea to ban this sort of request from the forums entirely. I'm going to take this up with TPTB and see what the companies' stance is on it. The more I think of it, the better the idea of forbiding this looks.

Out of all of the V4 and M4 characters that are created on rendosity I don't see it uncommon for someone to desire them self or someone close to have a virtue character made of them self. If I was going anywhere to have it done, I figure this would be the right place! If I must, we can use skype or anywebcam system. I do have offers for this to be done at fiverr.com but I would prefer people who really know Poser. I was just trying to make my wifes face. I will not send her naked matt or text. Just wanted some one who could sculpt or morph her face figure..

If you get Daz Studio and the genisis 1 figure all for free I think at Daz3d then get the free version of facegen.

You can do some face morphs yourself, and if you need the figure to work in poser Daz studio will allow you to send the genisis morphed figure over to poser just seek out how to do it.

Facegen will give you a rough but ok material you can use as the skin. You need good quality images of the face to be created facgen tells you what to do.

The forums will help with other questions, you can get a 90% look a like figure.

I would have thought that some where Renderosity had a disclaimer
that Renderosity is not responsable for personal bussiness between posters.

I would think Renderosity would leave it up to the lawyers about what kind of contract work you can and can not post here.

I've never heard of a forum getting in trouble over what 2 posters agreed to.

Have seen post from when a business deal went bad between 2 posters,
unsatisfied with results,didn't get paid etc etc.
but never seen anyone blame the forums.

of course there's always a first time for everything.
