Thanks face_off for the heads-up on the nvidia drivers issue!!

I did the image  below a few weeks ago (click on image for full render - warning mild nudity), I thought some here might be interested in it. Setup in Carrara and rendered in Octane. It was a lot of extra work rebuilding all the mats in Octane, but I was glad to see that I could handle a StoneMason scene in Octane on my card (fermi based - 64 color textures max). I will probably wait for the Octane plugin to come out before I try another Carrara scene in Octane. The DS plugin is sooo much easier, but it was a good learning experience.

It's looking very good, and can even handle one of Howie's scenes!

Yes very glad replication is being taken seriously. If duplication and copy can be handled this will be a big help for big scenes.

News Flash: Otoy is giving Ocatne standalone free to students. That’s huge savings if your a student, you just need to buy the plugin for your app of choice (Carrara) when it’s available.

For anyone interested, OctaneRender 2 has been released! There are a lot of great improvements in this version.

It looks like the public beta release of Octane Render for Carrara must be getting close (WoooHooo!!!). You can find a copy of the unfinished manual here (thanks to RK66 for posing the link over in the DAZ Carrara forum).
