"computer I am using is an older one"
How older?

Heat and animosity, contest and conflict, may sharpen the wits, although they rarely do;they never strengthen the understanding, clear the perspicacity, guide the judgment, or improve the heart

So is that TTFN or TANSTAAFL?
Windows 7 is available in 32 bit so that older 'puter might be a pooper

Work, Wife and Life keeps me busy.. but I had a chance to look at my computer.. worse than I thought..
NVIDIA nForce MCP61P
4GB DDR3 SDRAM
500 Gig HD - about 80 gigs open
AMD Athlon Processor
Was thinking of increaseing the ram, but the motherboard spec says max of 8GB so how much power can I get out of 2 -2GB more sticks of ram .. and do they need to match.. ??
I understand same power, but like batteries do I need to buy 4 to replace the old ones so they all match? Why I say that is , always heard never mix energizer and duracell battiers.. is this just a urban legend?
Or do I beg the wife and start from scratch.. Most of the other topics point to a Quatro video card being the best..
There is no information about which operating system is installed and whether you are running in a 32- or 64- bit environment, although it would appear that 32- bits may be the standard for your computer. If the mobo spec maxs @ 8 GB, I would submise that it is capable of supporting a 64-bit program which would make PP2010 run better.
But, again as mentioned in the previous post, we really need more detailed information for a proper accessment.

Finally messing around with Poser Pro 2010 again and I found the program seems like it crashes alot. After a few renders I get the hour glass of death.. Also crashed when I tried to change the view windows from one to three. The computer I am using is an older one but I thought it had enough power. I am hoping not to buy any upgrades or a new computer, but would like to better understand what is happening
