This application looks fantastic.

If I buy the Standard version, am I able to upgrade to the Pro version at a later time?

Yes, you can buy an 'Upgrade' to the Pro version later if you own the Standard.  

Please note that the Standard is regularly $99, the Upgrade is regularly $99, and the PRO is regularly $199.  So, in the long run, you will likely pay out the same price (unless they are bought on sale), but at least when buying the Standard first, you don't have to worry about upgrading to Pro until you know you definitely need and can spread the cost out. 

Of course, you can also download the free trial which has all the PRO features (you just can't save or export).
