Subject: Chakat Felitaur??

shante ( ) posted Tue, 11 February 2014 at 1:25 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 10:53 AM

Several years ago someone created a Felitaur and offered it originally through the DAZ forums. Thre were quite a fewm items for it made available via the communty. I thought I got all the items available for it at th time but can no longer find what I thought I had.

I went to ShareCG and only found some of the clothes and a lower res gaming version of the character but my attempt to get the original higher res version have failed here and there. Does anyone have any idea who originally created it and where it might still be available?

Chek PM

I've been thinking about the fitting room to build some taurs

So is that TTFN or TANSTAAFL?

Fit the neck of your quadriped to your biped pelvis of choice.

Now add the morphs for your torso to the pelvis and fit again,

work your way forward thru whatever morphs you want from your quadriped into your biped

and eventually your 'taur is full of all the morph combinations available

There was a thread - a loooong one - over at DAZ regarding creating classical human/horse centaurs. In it some one was posting morphs to marry V/M4 figures with the MilHorse. Somewhere in that thread they also posted set-up's for felitaurs/chakats using V/M4 and the MilBig Cat. I've used it to create models of my chakat char. A mix of Mil Big Cat, V4 and creature creator for V4 to give the feline head.  I'll see if I can track down the relevant thread over on DAZ.

Found it - here we are :)  http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewthread/6465/

I think you'll find what you want in the first post - she gives the listing for all her morph setups. As I said - about the only change I made was to use V4 creature creator to produce a feline head. Biggest problem I found was to produce a suitable texture to match up the big cat and V4 models

The hi-res version was created by Little_Dragon, probably the foremost Poser authority on anthropomorphic figures.  If I recall, he mesh spliced the LE version of the Mil' Big Cat with the base Aiko 3 figure, using RTEncoder to make the whole thing legal.

Alas, Little_Dragon has been outside the US for well over 3 years now, away from the computers storing his various projects.  And no, I don't know when he'll return.  What should have been a 6 week venture is now going into its fourth year.  Still, the important thing is that he is alive and well.  (After 2 years without any kind of word, several of his on-line acquaintences feared he had died.  Thank whatever gives you comfort such was not the case.)

Sincerely,

Bill
