Seriously, I agree with Ockham. There may be some kids that play with this doll, (most likely because their parents won't buy them the popular ones), but where will its shelf space be between Barbie, Monster High, it's new cousin Ever After High, and the now-struggling Bratz line?
I have two neices age 6 and 8 who are psychotic over Monster High dolls. They probably have well over a hundred of them by now and get new ones every chance they can. They were all about Barbie until MH came out - and the MH dolls make Barbie look like she's long overdue for a stay at Jenny Craig.
I can respect the incentive behind the doll, trying to give kids a more realistic view, but kids aren't interested in that, they want fantasy. I just dont see a market for it. But who knows maybe it will be a huge hit.
