Subject: Poser Pro 2012 - change body texture

Kotoboy ( ) posted Mon, 10 March 2014 at 5:31 AM · edited Sat, 01 February 2025 at 5:01 AM

Hi all,

I have to change the body texture of my V4, is there a way to do it  in a single action, or I have to select every part of the character and manually change it (assuming is always the same texture)?

Thank you
K.

If you're just applying a pre-made skin set then it should be listed in your materials tab in whatever folder you installed it to (or in the pose tab if its an older set), and should be a single-click operation.

If you're building a skin set from scratch then no, there's no single action to apply the skin to the entire body. You'll have to select each material zone in the material room and plug in the appropriate textures and material settings. But V4 has 3 major body maps, so once you set up the texture on one zone, you can copy and paste it to each zone that uses the same map. (Example, arms, legs, hands, feet, fingernails, toenails, all use the same map).

You could create an .MC6 file for the figure with its existing texture, open that in a suitable text editor (Notepad ++ is very good - and free), use its search and replace function point to the new image files, save the edited .MC6 file (under a different name) and apply that to the figure.

If you have to ask 'how do I do that?' or 'which images do I change?' then this method isn't for you.
