I tried importing into vue with the latest (I think) 2013 august SDK.

The ghost figure is still there and I can't remember what the fix is.

At import I chose to keep the poser textures.  This happened to look really good in the test render because of the artifacts it looks like she is sandy. But actually she wasn't.

I then tried poser skinning unimesh command and saved a pz3 and imported.  this time the clothes came in but no person.

I've remembered something else.  the sand appearance on her skin was the bump that comes in set too high in vue.

so now I can bring a female genesis into vue without problems.  And I can get rid of her floating subd cage and just have her.  I can fix the sand on her arms and legs.

She is probably low poly but looks not to bad in render.  maybe I could subd her in vue?

But if I try to bring a michael5 into vue the UV is messed up.  That hasn't changed.  vue can only take genesis with V4 textures.  any genesis I think.

I have a v4 male texture. I can make a genesis male have UV mapping for V4 and take that texture and I'm certaint hat will be fine in vue.

I edited the object in vue using turbo smoothed triangles, because subd was off in poser when I imported it. this did not fix the lack of subd neck problem. I only used 3 iterations. I don't know if more would have been better.

The genesis male is using the V4 male textures.  there is no way of getting any other UV mapping into vue as the UV mapping happens to the subd mesh in poser and not to the main genesis.

I have also had the problem with the default figure showing up in vue imports.  How do you tur off the subd in Dson?

Thanks,

JC

Use the menu in poser at the top and I think open Dson script.  I'm not home right now but I think there is an off checkbox there.

but it is not a satisfactory solution because then your figure in vue is low poly.

I have played with this for ages... I finally got it working.  I am afraid to switch it off now in case it all goes wrong :D

I am using Poser 2014 and Vue Infinite 2014 (SmitchMicro Poser SDK October 2013)

With subD turned off in Scripts/DSON Support.

Standard Genesis2 imports perfectly.  You can change the Individual head and body morphs in Poser and it works.  However, I found that applying a full body morph sent everything haywire in Vue.  So, if I choose V6 or Gia it won't work.

I also loaded the .vue file into Vue Infinite 11.5 and it works fine, but I couldn't say if setting it up in Vue 11.5 would work as I didn't try.  Also, I am not sure if preset poses will work, but I can't see why not.

Did you try a male.  Because I found the UV went wrong for the males.

Unfortunately I had the same old problem with Genesis 2 male and I suspect that is because it is a full body morph.  :(

Let's hope a new SDK is released that will solve the issue once and for all!
