Subject: Strangeness with the Aiko 3 Fantasy Wrap

I recently purchased the Fantasy Wrap for Aiko 3 (I’m one of those grognards who still uses Generation 3 figures… ![wink](http://www.daz3d.com/images/smileys/wink.gif) ), and when I fit the “FANTASY WRAP 2 BK” to the figure, everything is fine until I bend the figure’s abdomen or move it side-to-side; then I get some serious deformation.

I suspect it may be a parenting issue (I ran into a similar problem with the Cowboy Boot for Michael 2 a few years back) and I’m going through the CR2 file line by line, to see where it differs from “FANTASY WRAP 2 FT”.

Given how old this outfit is, I was hoping that somebody else might have run into this problem and solved it before me.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The attached image shows how the “FANTASY WRAP 2 BK” is deforming; the figure’s abdomen and hip have been turned invisible for clarity.

Isn't that DAZ Studio screen shot?  This is  Poser forum. Can you show it as it is in Poser, deformed and normal?

I could if my version of Poser (Poser Debut) worked on my current system; I'm a victim of the Windows IE update debacle, so until and unless Smith Micro comes up with a patch for that, DS is my default 3D modeling tool.

As it is, the Fantasy Wrap came out at a time when Poser 4 was the standard; one could open up a CR2 or a PP2, etc. in a text editor and modifiy it by hand, which is why I brought this question to the Poser forum.

If the moderators believe this thread would be more appropriate to the DS forum, I do not object to it being moved.

If you are referring to IE 11, there are several threads dealing with the solution.  Basically, uninstalling it and preventing it from auto updating.

As for a Poser Debut SR, I wouldn't hold my breath.  It is not a major player in the Poser world, just an intro package to get you started.

You might want to check out the updates for Debut.

http://poser.smithmicro.com/debut-updates.html

The last update says it works with Windows 8.0 and 8.1 and came out after the problems people were having with IE 11.

Poser 5, 6, 7, 8, Poser Pro 9 (2012), 10 (2014), 11, 12, 13

Ah! Thanks for that much, anyway. I'll look into it. :-)

Though, if anybody has looked "under the hood" of the Fantasy Wrap, I'd appreciate any help.

I'll just cross-post this to the DS forum and see what I can find there.

For anybody still having Poser 8 problems.  the solution is pretty simple to get IE 11 off their "puters".  Go to Control panel (program features-turn windows features on or off)  and tell windows not to use IE11 then uninstall IE 11 (which is listed as an Windows upgrade).  Then either use the MS "block IE11" program to prevent the installation or just forbid Windows from automatically installing upgrades without your approval (ie: IE 11).   IE 11 is listed as an optional ugrade (go figure).  Restart and Poser 8 is back in ful.
