Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:11 pm)
I think IBL strength is supposed to blow things out when you up it to over 1. Dunno and I can't test it right now.

Which version is correct for the jpeg you are using for the IBL if you weren't in poser? Is it the darker one or the brighter one? Also, do the subsequent final renders get brighter if you leave your lights alone or not?
I'm just trying to rule out poser's display being borked pre render.

It's a HDR I made in HDRShop. It comes in dark and probably should be dark. After the first render, or maybe the second render, the image attached to the IBL will brighten up suddenly like in the second screen cap. It will render much brighter also. Not what I had set up at all. I think it's some sort of bug having to do with GC and the IBL light. I have ordered Poser 10 from Amazon.ca and should be here in about a week. This problem is just one of many that I have regarding Poser Pro 2012. The program has been crap, in my experience, since Serial Update 3.

Is there a bug in the way that Poser Pro 2012 handles an image attached to an IBL light? When I try to use an image, either a jpg or HDR, after a couple of renders, I go to adjust the IBL strength or something and suddenly the image brightness is blown out. I've seen this happen with Poser Pro 2012 on two different laptops (one an HP, and my current Toshiba), so it seems to be a proble with Poser. Has anyone seen this happening, and is there a work around?
