You should post this in the 3D Modelling forum.  There's some really good modellers in there that probably won't see this post.  Anyway, I could never learn enough about topology, and optimizing edge flow.  Efficient use of topology, and how to create something as fast, and clean, as possible is always a goal I strive to learn more about.  There may be no "wrong" way to model something, but surely there's a slow and fast process to many things.  I want to learn the most efficient techniques for any given result.

Tools :  3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender v2.74

System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB GPU.

As a fledgling content creator I've found that the required information is like a teenagers bedroom.....everything is there, but where?  There are tutorials and books spread all over the net and it took me months of hunting and digging followed by reading and re-reading to put it all together.  When I spun the newly created 'open-close' dial and my gizmo opened and closed I almost pee'd my pants.  There is a ton of old methods kicking around and after (painfully) learning how to edit the CR2 file I discovered that it's no longer necassary.

All that being said, I learned a TON of ancillery stuff and refined my search methodology.  Figuring out content creation is almost like a right of passage and folks shouldn't be in a hurry to make it too easy.  The difficulty of the process keeps the dilettantes and rif-raf out.

My ABC's of modeling did really well so I want to take it to the next level and it's great to hear from everyone in the trenches what is important to you...keep the ideas coming!

How to keep hexagon from crashing.

A good tut on UVmapping would be nice, I hate doing that.

Also, doing detail work.  I can get the simple stuff down pat, however once things get more complex, I don't have as many idea on how do achieve effect X.

Since this is the poser forum, modling for poser is also important to learn.  Things don't smooth right if your mesh is off.

WARK!
