Subject: Animation submition question...

3dBim ( ) posted Wed, 16 April 2014 at 5:38 AM · edited Wed, 13 November 2024 at 2:40 PM

Hello,

Last month I uploaded an animation.

The upper part of the upload page stated that zip files should not be greater than 50Mb.

Next to the actual;" upload files here", it was stated that files should be less that 200 Mb...

So I uploaded the higher rez 180 Mb file.

So I had not seen my animation go up, I figured I'd up load the smaller under 50 Mb file.

Now, as I mentioned that was a month ago.

There are new animations posted since I attempted to submit mine.

I am thinking there must be a problem...

what"s up???

Rick

If it's in a video format, I don't know that you can get much more compression as a zip, and that be a problem, I dunno. I'd just upload it to YouTube and place a link to it from here. Assuming that's cool with the R&R

I made the smallest quicktime file of it, so...I don't know what's up.

Thank you,

Rick

Try converting to h.264 (.mp4) you'll get good quality and small file size.  I always convert my QTs to this format (and a few others as well for various browsers, such as .ogv, .webm and .flv)

Most video converters can convert to this format.

Excellent.

I'll do that.

Still, I don't know if I should resubmit?

Thanks :o)

Hi :)

You could up load you animations to youtube. then you will have them all in one place, also  you can upload the full animation in about any video format  to your youtube account. Plus  you can upload up to 2 gigs of video at a time,  then you can post the link here and other places of course  :)

My animations on youtube
