Very cool, shame it wasn't visible here, but they do happen once in a while. I photographed a couple in the past, but my photo equipment isn't half as good as my astronomic equipment. I love watching stars, solar system and so on through my telescope once in a while, but events like these are very fun to watch for everyone. No need for anything else but your eyes :)
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....

I rendered a blood moon treeline & sky 360 panorama in Vue which will be one of several alternative textures for the backdrop walls and dome of my Lothlorien III environment playset for Poser (an upcoming freebie). Good for setting an ominous mood; a portent of fell deeds approaching.
Poser 12, in feet.

Sorry to hear that. There's another in 6 months, which is the cool think about what happened. Hopefully you'll get clearer skys then.
That's the real b*tch about astronomy: it all depends on if the skies are cooperating.

The first of 4 lunar eclipses will be happening in about 2.5 hours I believe, it'll be viewable in the Americas, maybe partial viewing elsewhere. Then we'll have one every 6 months for 4 eclipses total. This is called a tetrad.
Kind of cool if you think about it.
So, keeping this vaguely poser related, anyone want to try making your best moon material or try to come up with a starry background in the mat room?
Usually for the moon I just link a cloud node to a sphere, but I guess it needs some craters as well for a close up.
For starry skies? I've had zero luck getting procedural stars right.
