Haven't tried this for a very long time, but first enable 3D Motion Blur checkbox in render settings. The controls for the amount of blur are shutter open and shutter close in the camera Parameters. The value range for each is 0 for the beginning of the frame and 1 for the end of the frame. The greater the difference between the values for open and close = the greater the blurring effect when rendering.
If the rendered blur looks very grainy increasing the pixel samples in render settings will improve it's appearance, but will have a significant impact on render speed.

If the leg position is "not too far" from frame 1 to frame 15, then you have only a modest movement, spread over half a second or a second (I'm not clear at which frame you're rendering), so you aren't going to see much blur (unless you jack the camera shutter speed).
Try using a starting pose with the leg well back, and eight frames later have the leg at full kick (render at this frame), then eight frames later set the leg in a "recovered" pose.

Ah, I can't seem to get it to work properly. Do I need to have the leg selected whilst rendering or the camera? I've got lost on the camera shutter open and shutter closed bit too as the manual isn't clear to a dumkopf like me. I've got frame 1 set at 0 for open and 1 for closed. This is the same all the way through the 16 frames. I'm using with his leg in back position in 1 and 16 but at 8 well forward.
Feel like giving up! Can't even do motion blur.. (Oh, it is turned on in the Render settings, I did manage to check that!)
As usual with Poser, the implementation is unique, and relies on the fact that Poser can produce animations as well as still images. If that puts you off, don't let it though, as motion blur is a surprisingly easy and effective effect to get the hang of. At the bottom of your main screen, you will see the two windows of the frame counter used in Poser animations, which by default reads frame 1 of 30. For the best effect, enter the figure 2 in the right-hand window; click "OK" on the warning that pops up about deleting frames. Ensuring that everything in frame 1 is set up how you want it, move the yellow triangular slider to the right - you should see the frame counter change from "00001 of 00002" to "00002 of 00002". Now take the element which is going to be blurred, and move it to a new position; the greater the amount you move it, the more it will be blurred in the render. In render settings, make sure you've checked "3D Motion Blur", and render your image at a high quality setting.

Hmm, sad face. I'm trying to get Rex 's leg to have motion blur when he's kicking a ball but all I get is the usual static pose. I've tried the methods google throws up in a search but I just can't get it to work. Iput his leg in one position at frame 1 then move it to a different but not too far a position for frame 15 then back again for frame 30.
Anyone got any pointers?
