if it is for an album/cover... I would choose to totally remove the background, or to show more of the background.. i.m.h.o. the object and background aren´t in balance

I don't know which particular picture wil be used for the cover. On the morrow, we had an outside shooting and I'm quite sure that the good one will be choosen from this second serie( easier light and interesting setting).
The show pictures are more a little "bonus" which could be used inside the booklet to introduce the players (or wich could not be used at all…) Anyway, it's not obvious here, but this old plank wall is quite interesting : maybe I'll post a pic which shows it.

Hi all !
I was asked to make pictures of a local rock band. They want to use them for their next album's sleeve, so I intent to make make best.
First I shot during a show. As often light was tricky. Fortunately, I used the RAW format wich allowed to get rid of strong highlights and saturated blue patches due to a ^@%& spotlight.
To do it I choose a desaturated and stronglmy contrasted treatment, which fits the name of the band : Old School. Here's my attempt :
I'd like to know what you think of it ? Do you like it as much as I, or should I look to another direction ?
