All of a sudden I am getting error with M4...When I open blank default and try to save get error...Unable to save problem writting to disk... Does anyone have any clue? All previous saved for M4 will not open...

Assuming this is problem is cropping up under Win7, you installed your content in the wrong place.  Is this the case?

Wasn't this an issue if M4 was saved with External Binary Morph Targets on (in Edit>General Preferences>Miscellaneous)? Check to see if that option is on, if it is turn it off and see if you can then save and reload.

Tried unchecking...Same problem. Cannot import any saved M4 characters either :(

 

Win XP comp...Win7 is ok..

Can you create a new scene with M4 and save it? Also, where are your items saved to? Try creating a folder under my documents, call the new folder Test Renders, move the saved m4s to there. Do all this with poser closed. Open poser and try to import from that location.  If it works, store the new scenes there. I'm thinking it could be a directory permission change. Also check your firewall settings. Poser tends to want to use shared directories (not shared with everyone, just your local home network). A firewall update could have changed these settings. You might have to check the folder permissions.

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

I can create but cannot save....

 

Items saved to desktop folder....Both computers..

Firewall not updated.

 

Win XP really doesnt have many restrictions as Win 7 does..Worked perfect until

today...Didn't add any new programs etc....

 

Strange..V4 works perfect...Just M4

I did back up my Poser runtime to an external drive but that shouldnt cause any problem..

Ok found I have another drive with my characters saved....Seems all are opening now...

6 drives which are partitioned so guess I confused myself???  Oh no commit me to a

nice friendly atmosphere...(but need my comps)
