Oooo... Nice, Clay!

Angel Estevez has been posting some cool Bryce work lately.

I've been putzing around a bit in Bryce myself, but nothing worth sharing.

P.S. Sorry about your mentor.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Oh Very nice indeed. I love rockstacks, but you might want to put a Fender Strat in there someplace.............

Sorry for your loss; and way to go facing adversity...Best to turn it into a celebration which this render certainly is...well done man...take care...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

Hi Clay

Sorry to hear of your loss I know how that feels. But whoever your mentor was he or she would have been proud of the work you can produce and would be touched that you dedicated this to them.

Take Care of Yourself and keep on Brycing.

My condolences for your loss, Clay.

The pic is wonderful. You're doin' it right.

Clay,

You are taking a 20 year old technology app and using a 5 year old update that is still based on the original app... and...

... you are showing up the best of the best in Vue.

Congrats.  Bryce was way ahead of its time, still is.  Too bad the current owners have been negligent stewards.

Bryster, what sort of system are you using for Myst? I loved that series of games!

I have the reboot of Myst as well, running on my Macbook Air.  The original Myst was done using Bryce I believe.

scanmead ( ) posted Sat, 30 August 2014 at 7:47 AM

Thanks, Bryster. I've got a Win7 machine, and a still-functioning XP. I've got those original Myst discs somewhere. Clay's render has me missing that game.

clay ( ) posted Mon, 22 September 2014 at 11:16 AM

Myst was made mostly using Softimage, some bryce and some 3DS max and some Maya as well.

Sorry for your loss, Clay.  Love the image, especially the waterfall cascading over those rocks, very nicely done.
