Has the way we search the marketplace changed today? Used to be from the front page I wentto Marketplace, software, poser and found the items for poser starting with new stuff first. Now it gives me poser software. I can go to 3D but what its showing isnt whats been recent for poser. Am I just missing the obvious?

A sale here on Poser started today...

They're also redoing the market place content filters, so everything's a little wonky and smooshed together right now.

ouch, hope they still have a way to browse poser content from new to old. I look at that alot just for fun. :) Costly fun true lol.

Well it's still AWFUL! I need and have used the headings ie: Poser - female - hair or something like that... I ONLY want to check out "hair for Dawn" and I do NOT want to wade through a million pages of hair for everbody... It was FINE, why change a thing thart worked!?!??!

My thought as well, when I need something specific like clothes for michael or characters for v4 I need a filter.

Same here- I'm not usually a texture buyer. I would like the models separated (although personally, I don't care about the male/female filter so much) so I don't have to wade... :huh:

We are in the process of having the most awesome search EVER so we had to make some temporary changes to get through the final stages. It might be painful for a minute but it will be soooo worth it. The way it's looking now is temporary so just bear with us it won't take long til it's all live the way it should be.

Ugh... This is worse than the previous setup.

And bad for business to roll out a temporary change that makes it impossible to search for something that you want.

I want to search for clothing specific for V4 in the Sci-fi and Fantasy catagories. This is just a deterent to me making any sort of purchases...

What is the ETA?

Not long at all.  Unfortunately there are certain big changes (and this is a big one that is LONG overdue) that require a little pain to get to the good.

I hear it alot... Which is why promised hardware is still sitting in a box in my office after close to 2 months after being delivered. IT even went so far as to image the new systems and they have each of the senior Rep's names on it. They are finally integrating one of our programs into the same database. We have been working in 2 seperate scheduling apps since 4/2011.

There's no heat... But the search process has been frustrating the everloving hades out of me for the longest time. Granted there are worse ones, but still.

I am a mom lol and DEFINITELY not an IT person lol.  

We know how frustrating the search has been which is why we've spent so much time in the background working on the best one and we are getting very very close which is why you are now seeing evidence that a change is a coming:)

Well as long as you dont call anything a 'thingie' or a 'whatsit' like my little sis lol. The great thing about `puters these days is one doesnt need to be a 'puter geek to do just fine. Lord knows i'd be lost.

When it comes to the "techy" stuff I am lost.. I am technically challenged for sure lol

Oohhhh good!  sounds very promising Stacey!  I'll just put "DAWN" in the main search field and hope for the best for now...got a coupon burning a hole in my pocket, ya know! ;)

With the new search Lyne you are gonna be able to do something like the example below EASY peasy.....

Example: you want to see hair base models that are updos hairstyles that are for Dawn and work in Poser....You will be able to select those specific things and get back the results that are just that.

It's going to make it so much better for you to see what you want to see and you can choose that based on what you are looking for. THat's been our biggest customer complaint is if they search for something like the example I gave above they get back all kinds of stuff, hair textures, clothes, accessories so they spend lots of time wading through stuff that is not what they are looking for.. SOmetimes in the current system using the departments and filters is like just going through the what's new pages, you get all kinds of stuff and the specifics you might want to drill down to see doesn't happen correctly so with the new search/facets you can still just search through what's hot, what's new, etc if you want to see everything but you will also have a much easier and more efficient way to find exactly what you are looking for when you want to be specific and see only certain types of items.  

I'm beyond excited about it.  I've been working here for 12 years and we've modified the search and depts a few times but still with so many products and so many different types, different softwares, different figures, it didn't turn out as efficient as what we had hoped but this time I believe its going to be amazing.  Of course it will be a change and any change takes a second to get used to a different way, a different look, etc but I sincerely think it will make things so much better for our customers so that is why this time I am so hyped up about a change.  (I do not like change, I am a creature of habit and have a hard time adjusting to anything that changes..I don't like getting a new computer, a new phone, not even a new desk chair lol).
